Art focused on climate change issues, or as some authors refer to it as an eco or ecological art, has been receiving an increasingly significant attention in the recent period, judging by a growing number of publications dedicated to this topic. Theoretical considerations of this art are not mutually contradictory and exclusive, but they differ in their focus and the ways in which they discuss the definitions, properties, roles, and potentials of these art practices. During the analysis of these theoretical considerations, doubts arise as to which artistic practices can be considered ecological, as well as how adequate or limited existing interpretive models are, that is, how open they are to the heterogeneity and plurality of contemporary art dedicated to climate change issues. Examining the parameters presented in the literature, which is singled out due to its principally different approaches to the topic of ecological art, the aim of this paper is to consider dilemmas that stem from the analysis and application of these parameters, using the examples of the works of Lidija Delić and Marija Marković, as case studies, and thereby contribute to the current debate.
