SAVREMENA NOVOMEDIJSKA UMETNOST – POJMOVNO I ISTORIJSKO ODREĐENJE

Tekst predstavlja teorijske interpretacije pojma novomedijske umetnosti u kontekstu savremene umetnosti koja simbolično počinje od 1989. godine sa globalnom smenom paradigmi od moderne u savremenu umetnost (T. Smith). Pojam novi mediji je u širokoj upotrebi u interpretaciji savremenih umetničkih praksi u istoriji i teoriji umetnosti poslednjih decenija (od devedesetih godina XX veka). Međutim, u savremenom kontekstu novomedijskih i postmedijskih umetničkih praksi (R. Krauss), postavljanje granice koja odvaja nove od starih medija postalo je sklisko područje zbog zastarevanja medija usled neprekidnih inovacija na polju tehnologija koje ulaze u svet umetnosti, upotrebe tradicionalnih medija u novomedijskoj umetnosti, kao i različitih medijskih transfera sadržaja. Tekst istražuje terminološke dvosmislenosti u upotrebi pojmova i kvalitete i vrednosti koji, pored samih medijskih alata, karakterišu savremenu novomedijsku umetnost.
